You have all heard of the Elevator Pitch. Usually in the context of networking and business development. However, it can also be useful for employees to have some “elevator pitches” about disability to make conversations about disability easier. Particularly if you find you get asked the same question over and over.

Script some simple but meaningful answers to typical questions people ask about disability including a brief, factual, explanations of your own disability and needs.

This is especially useful if you are new to talking about disability or new to the firm or organisation, or simply want to sound more confident when discussing disability openly.
