It is over two years since the last in-person Lawyers with Disabilities Division of the Law Society event and the committee is keen to provide an opportunity for disabled people within the profession to come together. Many organisations hold events to mark Disability History Month in December, but this can be a difficult time of year for many disabled people (especially as Winter has seen a resurgence of Covid).
Accordingly, Freshfields has kindly agreed to host the LDD Summer Social at its London offices on Wednesday 15 June (17.30-20.00). This will be a hybrid event and so people can join remotely, either individually or perhaps as a local group.
Further details will follow shortly, but the emphasis will be on meeting each other and networking, rather than being ‘talk heavy’. Break out rooms will be available for those joining virtually.
