The introduction of the SQE and qualifying work experience (QWE) last year marked a step change in how people train and become a solicitor. This new way of qualifying has opened up opportunities for law firms and in-house teams in how they train future solicitors.
The SRA is running free networking events across England and Wales to talk about how QWE is working in practice. They would also like your input into their plans for evaluating the impact of the SQE and wider qualification changes. Join them to discuss these topics through facilitated discussions, exploring QWE, what is going well, what could be better and further information available.
These events offer anyone involved in training future solicitors the chance to speak to SRA staff about qualification and get answers to your questions. This could be an employer or a work experience provider such as a charity or law clinics.
Choose the event that’s easiest for you to attend to book your place. The events take place at:
- Birmingham (Deloitte LLP) 10 May
- Manchester (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) 18 May
- Swansea (University of Swansea, School of Management) 7 July
