On 13 September 2022 the Law Society is hosting a webinar “Making Legal Information Accessible – Why And How?”. The webinar is for private client solicitors but may be of interest to all.
The webinar will cover:
- An overview of the current legal frameworks in place which aim to break down the barriers to the full participation of disabled people in society;
- The legal duties we, as solicitors, have to provide accessible information;
- The legal duties that health and social care providers and other public bodies have to provide accessible information;
- An understanding of why power, privilege and process are important;
- What good accessible information looks like;
- Practical tips on ways to improve accessibility when communicating with clients both verbally and in written formats.
