What will the new Adjustments Planner mean for you? In November 2023, the Government launched the Adjustments Planner: a new document aimed to help disabled learners communicate about their disabilities and adjustments with employers, and ‘passport’ any adjustments they may have already between education and work.
Currently available online, the Adjustments Planner will be officially rolled out in 2024, with universities, FE colleges and other places of learning. This means that employers and recruiters can expect to encounter Adjustments Planners very soon.
This webinar is for anyone working in recruitment, graduate recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, and equality, diversity and inclusion fields at UK employer organisations.
We will explore:
- How to respond when a candidate provides an Adjustments Planner;
- When it is legal to discuss a candidate’s disabilities or health conditions;
- How the Planner affects what you may already have in place for disabled candidates and employees;
- What candidates might expect from the Planner, versus what it is reasonable for you to provide;
- How adjustments differ between education and work.
Alongside these topics, we will also provide a tour of our free guidance to the Planner, which we have aimed at employers, universities, and students, and you will also be able to ask questions during a short Q&A with our CEO, Diane Lightfoot, and a member of our Policy and Research Team which developed our guidance on the Planner.
