Position Summary

\n

Profab Electronics, Inc is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanic Technician to support our quality electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting, with strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

\n

The position requires performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment issues, minimizing downtime, and maintaining equipment in a safe and reliable operating condition. This position will work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve mechanical issues and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility equipment.
\n
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and equipment failures.
\n
• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components as needed.
\n
• Install, assemble, disassemble, and modify machinery and mechanical equipment.
\n
• Perform inspections of equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical issues.
\n
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests.
\n
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
\n
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
\n
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
\n
• Assist with maintaining spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
\n
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance and work area.
\n
• Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
\n
• Support continuous improvement and preventive maintenance programs.
\n
• Perform other maintenance and mechanical duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Applicants must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
\n
• Experience as a mechanic, maintenance technician, machine technician, or in a similar mechanical role preferred.
\n
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
\n
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and tools.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
\n
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring equipment.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely and accurately.
\n
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
\n
• Basic electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic troubleshooting experience preferred.
\n
• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
